[00:00:31] Now in previous episodes you might have heard me mention that I got into bingo because of

[00:00:36] my dad.

[00:00:37] My dad initially had been an avid golfer.

[00:00:40] I mean he loved golfing, but because of health reasons he had to quit.

[00:00:45] Now I mention this because one of the things that was really cool about my dad being

[00:00:49] a golfer is that we always knew what to get him for presents.

[00:00:56] My dad had so many golf balls, little golf tees, shirts, hats, shoes.

[00:01:04] I mean every little thing that had to do anything with golf because that's what we knew he would

[00:01:08] love so it made it absolutely super easy to buy gifts for him.

[00:01:12] But then when he went into bingo at that time and I'm here to tell you that was a good

[00:01:16] at least 20 years ago, maybe 25 years ago that he went into bingo.

[00:01:21] There was nothing.

[00:01:23] There was absolutely nothing for bingo.

[00:01:26] Was it as mainstream as it is today?

[00:01:29] Or at least we didn't know.

[00:01:30] We were living in Las Vegas, we used to go play at the casinos and particularly the

[00:01:34] continental was the place that we used to go play at.

[00:01:36] But that was it.

[00:01:37] You could sit there and give them money to go play bingo but there wasn't like

[00:01:39] there weren't dobbers.

[00:01:40] At that point they used to either slide the numbers across on the little boards

[00:01:45] that they had or you had the little round things that they gave you to cover it.

[00:01:49] But that was it.

[00:01:50] There was nothing particularly special about that.

[00:01:53] So I was thinking about that the other day how far bingo has come and how much swag

[00:02:00] there is out there.

[00:02:01] I mean, there's an absolutely amazing amount of swag so much so that when I thought

[00:02:07] about doing this episode I thought, oh, there are some things I'll talk about.

[00:02:10] I'll talk about this.

[00:02:11] I'll talk about that.

[00:02:12] And I tried to do a little bit more research to make sure that I was trying

[00:02:14] to cover as much information as possible to give people so they could go find these

[00:02:18] things if they weren't aware of where they were or some of the things that were

[00:02:22] available.

[00:02:23] But even then when I started looking at the stuff it just went way out of control.

[00:02:27] There's so much stuff out there.

[00:02:30] So I apologize right now.

[00:02:31] I'm going to try to mention some of the people that I know that I've

[00:02:34] purchased things from or that I'm aware that they sell these particular items.

[00:02:38] But I can guarantee you right now this is literally the tip of the iceberg.

[00:02:43] There is just way too much stuff available, which is fantastic.

[00:02:47] It makes it so easy for me to give gifts to my other bingo player friends and stuff like

[00:02:51] that.

[00:02:52] But the most obvious thing that's out there are dobbers.

[00:02:55] Everybody likes to get these personalized dobbers.

[00:02:58] And for those of you who may not be aware, when I'm talking about dobbers, those are

[00:03:01] the lovely little round bottles of ink that you have that you use to mark your papers

[00:03:06] with.

[00:03:07] They're purchased at all bingo halls.

[00:03:08] You can get them online.

[00:03:10] They range generally from like $1 to $2.

[00:03:13] You can get them in either just a basic color or a lot of people like to get the

[00:03:15] glitter ones that are out there.

[00:03:18] People like to get them and they like to get them personalized.

[00:03:20] You can send off to people or whatever, ask people to take them and take the basic little

[00:03:24] cover off of it and then put something on it that's either a glitter or rhinestones.

[00:03:30] There's a variety of things that people like to do.

[00:03:33] They also like to get their names put on it.

[00:03:35] I was gifted one that had my name on it.

[00:03:37] It said, Broke Bingo Attic Podcast.

[00:03:39] I got that from Jen Loves Bingo.

[00:03:42] And other people have gotten me dobbers as well.

[00:03:44] I've bought my own and I've also given them out as gifts.

[00:03:47] So it's nice.

[00:03:48] You can put people's names on it or people like to put their hobbies on it.

[00:03:51] Like I gave some for Christmas that had for my one friend who's a big cowboy fan.

[00:03:57] I had her said the cowboys, the other one said Dodgers on it and where it's personalized

[00:04:01] to the colors of the team.

[00:04:03] So there's a lot of different ways that you can do that.

[00:04:05] Like I said, some people just do the color itself in a variety of forms.

[00:04:10] Some people do the glitter.

[00:04:11] Some people do the rhinestones.

[00:04:13] Some of the people that I know do them personally.

[00:04:15] There's a lady called Lindsey from Lens Loves.

[00:04:18] I really like Lindsey stuff and I have to say what I really used to like most about Lindsey

[00:04:23] is that she used to offer a $25 gift certificate, which was great because most of her dobbers

[00:04:29] were started out at $25.

[00:04:32] So I really thought that was a great way to give gifts to people, which is what

[00:04:34] I did, I think it was last year or actually the year before I gave some as Christmas

[00:04:38] presents, but that's no longer available.

[00:04:40] And I have to tell you that really actually breaks my heart because I really love that.

[00:04:43] But anyways, Lindsey of Lens Loves does a great job.

[00:04:46] By the way, that's L-I-N-Z underscore loves, but she also has an Etsy shop.

[00:04:51] I think it's Glitter Dobbers, but if you go in there you can find her.

[00:04:55] I already mentioned that I have a dober from Jen Loves Bingo.

[00:04:59] She does a good job.

[00:05:00] There's also Diamond 51.

[00:05:02] There's TC Loves Bingo.

[00:05:04] Those are people that I have actually dealt with along with Christina at XTina Plays

[00:05:09] Bingo.

[00:05:10] And I also have a lot of other doberies as well.

[00:05:12] Again, a ton of people.

[00:05:13] Some other ones that I found were Symphonies, Treasures.

[00:05:16] I don't know if I'm saying that right.

[00:05:17] Rosanna, Fluffy Frank's Creation or Fluffy Frank creations as well as

[00:05:23] something called Vizzal Zizzal.

[00:05:25] Okay, so those are some of the places where you can go if you're looking

[00:05:28] for a dober.

[00:05:29] Which by the way, in case you're wondering when you go through all this

[00:05:32] trouble of having them personalized, these are all refillable.

[00:05:35] So it's not like you just get one dobber personalized and that's it after

[00:05:38] you finish using it.

[00:05:39] Those dobbers are all refillable.

[00:05:41] So once that color is done, you just take out the top and refill it so you

[00:05:44] can have these dobbers for a lifetime.

[00:05:46] Okay, so that's the first thing.

[00:05:48] So the other things that I've seen that are popular are ticket holders.

[00:05:52] And when I say ticket holders, I'm not talking about the things for your

[00:05:55] pool tabs.

[00:05:56] I'm talking about the little round balls.

[00:05:58] Typically it's a little round ball that has some decoration on it.

[00:06:00] And then a clip at the top.

[00:06:01] So when you have a few pool tabs, you just want to put in that

[00:06:04] holder like a lot of places have like an admittance ticket or they

[00:06:07] have tickets for the cash balls or whatever.

[00:06:10] They have some type of a ticket that you need to keep with you.

[00:06:13] And if you want to make sure that you have it in a very visible place,

[00:06:16] then you get these little ticket holders and you just put it right on

[00:06:19] there. These can be really quite elaborate.

[00:06:22] The person that I see doing them the most is Bingo Bling Glamma.

[00:06:25] She does a wonderful job at these and a lot of variety so you

[00:06:28] can contact her.

[00:06:29] I don't see a lot of other people doing it.

[00:06:31] I think Diamond 51 does as well, but I got to be honest,

[00:06:33] I'm not 100% sure about that.

[00:06:35] But again, Bingo Bling Glamma and you can have them really

[00:06:38] personalized.

[00:06:38] She can put pictures on them like I know recently she put pictures

[00:06:42] of people that you love, people who might have passed or if you

[00:06:45] have a favorite number, she puts the number on there.

[00:06:47] She was kind enough to give me one that had the number one on it.

[00:06:50] And so just a lot of personalization that can be put on

[00:06:53] there.

[00:06:54] Your favorite sports team, your favorite TV show, whatever

[00:06:57] you want, she can do that for you.

[00:06:59] And I think they're really reasonably priced.

[00:07:01] So that's something if you're interested in, absolutely go

[00:07:03] check that out.

[00:07:04] Now another thing that was out there are pens.

[00:07:07] Okay, these personalized pens and I have to say for a while

[00:07:10] there, I kept seeing Bingo Player 15, otherwise known as

[00:07:14] Monica and she had a whole assortment.

[00:07:16] I'm not sure if she's still doing it.

[00:07:18] I went, I looked, I couldn't see it.

[00:07:20] So if she is, please give me a shout out so I know I can

[00:07:22] tell people that she's still doing it.

[00:07:23] But she had a huge selection of pens and these were

[00:07:27] not necessarily Bingo pens, but you could use them.

[00:07:29] She had Bingos, but she had other in particular, I was

[00:07:32] excited because she had Winnie the Pooh.

[00:07:33] And I guess I just waited too long.

[00:07:35] I never got a chance to order the Winnie the Pooh pen,

[00:07:37] but she had a variety.

[00:07:38] So it was not only Bingo pens that were available,

[00:07:40] but it was also movie characters, sports teams and

[00:07:44] a variety of stuff.

[00:07:44] But looking in particular, Bingo pens that I was looking

[00:07:49] at, I used Diamond 51.

[00:07:51] Okay, Diamond 51 had a ton of selections available

[00:07:55] for her stuff.

[00:07:56] I mean all kinds of things, but I personally ordered a

[00:07:58] lot of Bingo pens for her, which were really cute.

[00:08:01] And I'd like to give those out as gifts too, because one,

[00:08:04] I think they're cute and they connect to the past time that

[00:08:06] I love.

[00:08:07] And just something that you can give to people that are

[00:08:09] simple and weren't very, very expensive.

[00:08:11] I actually need to go order some more.

[00:08:13] So those are a couple of people who do the pens,

[00:08:15] but there are also very popular item out there

[00:08:18] are the tumblers.

[00:08:19] Okay, a lot of people do the tumblers and these

[00:08:22] are great because you can put almost anything on

[00:08:25] these tumblers.

[00:08:25] Okay, people put their TikTok names on it or just

[00:08:29] their personal names on it.

[00:08:30] Again, they put their sports teams.

[00:08:31] They put the loved ones on them.

[00:08:33] The tumbler that I have, I actually got again from

[00:08:35] Diamond 51.

[00:08:37] They had the summer shakeup and she brought a bunch

[00:08:40] there.

[00:08:40] Actually, she didn't bring them.

[00:08:41] I think somebody brought them there for her.

[00:08:43] And so I think it was Bingo Bling Glamo.

[00:08:45] I brought some and I bought one from her, but

[00:08:47] it's really nice.

[00:08:48] So this is the cutest thing.

[00:08:49] It is so nicely decorated and everything.

[00:08:52] So I got my tumbler there, but it's really cool

[00:08:55] because like I said, you can order these and

[00:08:58] you can have absolutely anything practically put

[00:09:01] on them that you want to have put on them.

[00:09:04] And then it's great because you can take it to

[00:09:06] Bingo and have your drink right there and not

[00:09:08] have to worry about buying something or stuff

[00:09:10] and have it nice and cold or whatever

[00:09:12] and enjoy your drink at the location.

[00:09:13] Now I have to worry about getting up.

[00:09:14] Sometimes you just don't have the time to go get

[00:09:16] up and get a drink or you just don't want

[00:09:17] to, you're playing stuff.

[00:09:18] So it's nice to have that little tumbler

[00:09:20] right there for you.

[00:09:22] Now the other thing that's out there and has

[00:09:24] become unbelievably popular, I think, I think

[00:09:26] in the last few years are Bingo holders.

[00:09:30] All right?

[00:09:30] Now when I say Bingo holders, I actually mean

[00:09:33] these holders that you can put like everything

[00:09:35] and you can put your pool tabs in it.

[00:09:36] You can put your strips in it.

[00:09:38] There are a lot of people doing them now.

[00:09:40] I think the first ones that I saw was way back

[00:09:42] when it was done by Danny down in Texas.

[00:09:45] Danny had the wood holders and they had

[00:09:48] different slots that you could put,

[00:09:49] you know, just different things.

[00:09:50] Your buybacks, your pool tabs, your extra

[00:09:55] little games, whatever.

[00:09:56] They were nice little carriers that could also

[00:09:59] be personalized.

[00:10:00] I've seen a lot of people get them.

[00:10:01] I saw Cash got one not too long ago, I think.

[00:10:04] And you know, you can put some representation

[00:10:07] on there with regard to your favorite sports team

[00:10:10] or again personalized to whatever your TikTok

[00:10:14] name might be or just your own name and stuff.

[00:10:16] So that was really nice.

[00:10:17] I saw a lot of people who had them,

[00:10:18] but what's also been really popular lately,

[00:10:21] I mean it's really taken off, have been the

[00:10:23] sewn ones, the ones that are, you know,

[00:10:25] the triangle that everybody's using right now.

[00:10:27] Now initially I used to see them where they were

[00:10:29] just the small triangle which was predominantly

[00:10:32] used for pool tabs, but now they've got them

[00:10:35] where they're actually even bigger and you can

[00:10:36] put your strips into it too, which I really

[00:10:39] like because that gets to be a little cumbersome

[00:10:41] when you've got all this stuff,

[00:10:42] especially if you've got a lot of strips

[00:10:43] and you've got a lot of pool tabs.

[00:10:44] It's nice to have that one thing on your

[00:10:46] table that you can put both things in.

[00:10:48] So that's become really popular with people

[00:10:50] using that triangle.

[00:10:52] And they have different sizes of them.

[00:10:53] I've actually seen little ones.

[00:10:54] I've actually seen one that was like,

[00:10:56] what is it?

[00:10:56] I'd say about four by five that you can do

[00:10:58] in case if you're not somebody who likes

[00:10:59] to buy a lot of pool tabs.

[00:11:01] But again, I've seen them small,

[00:11:02] I've seen them large, but there's

[00:11:04] definitely a variety of them out there.

[00:11:05] And again, can be personalized.

[00:11:07] I think not so much with your picture,

[00:11:08] but people can get personalized patterns,

[00:11:10] you know, again if you like the Dodgers

[00:11:13] or if you like the Philly's and have

[00:11:15] it made out of material with those teams on it.

[00:11:18] Now to be totally transparent, I have to say

[00:11:20] I don't use the little material one.

[00:11:22] I did buy one, but for some reason I had a hard time.

[00:11:25] I was missing some of my pool tabs

[00:11:27] because I had so many on there

[00:11:28] and it was a limited space of that time,

[00:11:30] which again, guess is my fault.

[00:11:31] But I actually missed playing a couple of pool tabs

[00:11:33] because they were behind something else

[00:11:35] and I just didn't see it.

[00:11:37] So what I actually use is I have a card holder.

[00:11:40] So it's a little blue stand.

[00:11:41] It's hard to explain, but what I

[00:11:43] is I just slide the tabs in along the top

[00:11:45] and then they all stick up

[00:11:46] and I can align them the way that I want.

[00:11:48] So I tend to do a better job with those

[00:11:50] because I can see things a little easier.

[00:11:51] I don't know why, but it's just the way I am.

[00:11:53] I can see it better.

[00:11:54] And a lot of people have asked me about it

[00:11:56] and I love it because I got it from Amazon

[00:11:59] and it cost me all of like less than $10 for two of them.

[00:12:03] So I also gave those out to a few friends

[00:12:04] so they could use that.

[00:12:06] Like I said, those are some of the things

[00:12:07] that are out there.

[00:12:08] If you want to get the wood one,

[00:12:09] which is really nice and sturdy,

[00:12:11] again, that's Bobby from Pool Tabs Cabby.

[00:12:14] For the material one,

[00:12:14] so one of the people I've seen it made

[00:12:16] is Make It Snappy Handmade.

[00:12:18] There's also Nana's Sewing Creation.

[00:12:20] And then there are Strip Holders by Regina.

[00:12:23] Now, in addition to these strip holders

[00:12:24] that you see that are being made out of material,

[00:12:26] there are also a lot of people out there

[00:12:27] who make the bags.

[00:12:28] Okay, this is the bingo bags

[00:12:30] that you can put your doppers in

[00:12:31] and carry all the little necessities

[00:12:33] that you take to bingo with you.

[00:12:34] There are a lot of people who do that too.

[00:12:35] I realized I went on to Etsy, by the way,

[00:12:37] and you can just Google Dobbers

[00:12:39] or you can just Google bingo

[00:12:40] and it's just a massive amount of people who show up.

[00:12:44] So like I said, I'm not naming everybody.

[00:12:46] It's just an incredibly large amount

[00:12:47] of people out there who are supplying this stuff now,

[00:12:49] which is again so exciting

[00:12:50] because when I was coming up with my dad,

[00:12:53] like I said, there was absolutely nothing.

[00:12:55] So one of the other things that they have out there,

[00:12:57] and I have to say there's only one person

[00:12:59] that I've seen do this.

[00:13:00] If anybody else has seen it, please let me know.

[00:13:02] But these are the bingo toppers

[00:13:04] and there's only one person

[00:13:05] that I've seen who actually does that.

[00:13:07] And that's Cheryl from 007 Clearlake.

[00:13:10] She makes all these really cool toppers

[00:13:12] that you see people putting on top of their dobbers.

[00:13:14] Okay, I've got one that has the number B1

[00:13:17] on it that's round.

[00:13:18] I've got one that's got my number in there

[00:13:20] that's 69, I think it was.

[00:13:23] I've got a few of them.

[00:13:24] I need to get some more.

[00:13:24] But as far as I know,

[00:13:26] Cheryl is the only person who makes the bingo toppers.

[00:13:30] So yeah, if you want to find her,

[00:13:31] if you just go into TikTok

[00:13:32] and you do 007 Clearlake, you can find her

[00:13:34] and she will do like an amazing job

[00:13:37] if you want to get a topper.

[00:13:38] But she also does a lot of other things too.

[00:13:40] She also makes the little round placement covers.

[00:13:43] Okay, so we know when you're playing a strip

[00:13:45] or you're playing bingo

[00:13:46] and you want to cover stuff that's already done.

[00:13:48] Cheryl was actually the first person that I saw do it.

[00:13:51] She may not have been,

[00:13:51] but she was the first person that I saw

[00:13:53] making these lovely little toppers.

[00:13:55] I saw her just right now.

[00:13:56] She's making some really cute ones for 40 martyrs

[00:13:59] is having an event coming up

[00:14:00] and she made some really nice ones.

[00:14:02] But she is not the last one to do it.

[00:14:04] There are a ton of people out there right now

[00:14:06] who are making these really cute personalized

[00:14:09] little bingo placement cards.

[00:14:11] I'm not quite sure what the technical term

[00:14:13] for these would be,

[00:14:14] but I know a big Venn, the cash cow makes them

[00:14:18] and there's a ton of other people,

[00:14:19] like I said who made them.

[00:14:20] But it's really nice because you can get them personalized.

[00:14:23] You can get your TikTok stuff on it.

[00:14:24] You can get pictures of your loved ones on it.

[00:14:26] You can get your pictures of your favorite team on it,

[00:14:28] whatever it is.

[00:14:28] And they're just really nice and convenient to have

[00:14:31] because you can use them so efficiently

[00:14:33] when you're playing bingo

[00:14:34] to help you keep track of what you need

[00:14:36] and what you don't need.

[00:14:37] So like I said,

[00:14:39] there are a ton of things out there.

[00:14:42] If you're looking for nice little bracelets

[00:14:44] or just little charms and stuff that you can wear,

[00:14:46] one of the other people out there

[00:14:47] that has kind of specialized in bingo

[00:14:49] is Italian bingo mama.

[00:14:51] She makes cute little bracelets and stuff

[00:14:53] that you can personalize, put your name on it.

[00:14:54] Mine actually just says bingo.

[00:14:56] That's a lovely little option out there too

[00:14:58] that you can give people to hopefully wish them good luck.

[00:15:01] But she doesn't just make it stuff for bingo.

[00:15:02] She actually makes some other items too.

[00:15:04] So if you're just in general,

[00:15:36] I've actually purchased a few things there

[00:15:39] when I've been in town.

[00:15:40] You know, you get hats,

[00:15:41] you get t-shirts, you get bags,

[00:15:42] you get dobbers, you get the little signs

[00:15:44] that you can hold up to say bingo.

[00:15:49] Again, there's so much stuff out there

[00:15:51] and there's so many people who are out there doing it.

[00:15:54] I just want to let people know

[00:15:55] that here are a few places that you can check

[00:15:58] if you're having any trouble,

[00:15:59] but trust me, you can find these things

[00:16:01] and it's just so nice if you want to tell your friends

[00:16:04] and your family about these things

[00:16:05] in case they're looking for something

[00:16:07] to get you for your birthday

[00:16:08] or a Christmas or Mother's Day or whatever,

[00:16:11] just let them know that they can do that

[00:16:13] without any problem.
