For anyone who thinks it's easy to run a bingo hall, it's not. There's a lot more that goes into it than most people realize. After closing in 2020 due to Covid, Bell-Jeff Bingo in Burbank has finally reopened. This is due in large part to the efforts of Ruben Alvara, the manager (and our prior guest). Listen to what he has to say about how it's going.

[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Hello and welcome to The Broke Bingo Addict.

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a podcast that ventures through the wild and crazy world of bingo.

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_02]: This is much more than your grandmother's bingo.

[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_02]: My name is Shari and welcome to this week's episode, which as always is for entertainment

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_02]: purposes only.

[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Hi everybody and welcome to this week's episode of The Broke Bingo Addict.

[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_02]: For today's guest, I'm talking to Ruben Alvera, who you might recall we had him on previously

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_02]: to talk about Cry Help Bingo, but this time he's going to be talking about Bell-Jeff

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Bingo and Burbank.

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Now this is a location that he previously managed and has worked really hard to

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_02]: get reopened again.

[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Good morning Ruben and thanks so much for coming on my podcast.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_02]: How are you doing?

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Doing great.

[00:00:56] [SPEAKER_01]: It's great to be back on the show again.

[00:00:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, I really appreciate you coming back because I know things have absolutely changed

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_02]: since the last time you were on because you now have your own bingo hall to talk about,

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_02]: right?

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, just opened up a new bingo hall in Burbank.

[00:01:11] [SPEAKER_02]: So you said it's called Bell-Jeff?

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Bell-Jeff Bingo, yeah, right here in Burbank, off of Glen Oaks and all those.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so I have a lot of little questions.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: My first thing being how did you get started with this?

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Because you were already over at Cry Help for a long time.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I've been at Cry Help for 10 years.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm still there.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Actually, I was running Bell-Jeff in 2020, late 2019, early 2020, right before COVID

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_01]: hit but when COVID happened we had to close Bell-Jeff down so everybody, everything

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_01]: all got closed down so it just now reopened.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so when you were with it before in 2020, were you running it then or were you just

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_02]: on one of the workers or what were you doing at that time?

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_02]: So is it different than what it was before for your participation?

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I was running it back then.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: I was, yeah.

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so now you're doing both places.

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_02]: You're doing Cry Help and you're doing this.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, Bell-Jeff plays on Wednesday night?

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Tuesday nights.

[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Tuesday night, okay.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And what was the address again?

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_01]: 465 East Olive Boulevard at Burbank.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, now is that the same place it was before?

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes, same place.

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Where's that close to?

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm not sure.

[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I know Olive Boulevard reminds me of Warner Brothers so is it close to Warner Brothers?

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's kind of like by a downtown Burbank or the mall is.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, okay.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It's right across the street from the police department.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so it's pretty easy to find.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Is there parking?

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Plenty of parking?

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I wouldn't say plenty of parking.

[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_01]: There's about 60 parking spots but there's lots of street parking.

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_02]: So now that you guys have opened, how has the return been?

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Have people been able to find you?

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Were they anxiously awaiting for your return?

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they had a lot of regulars from before COVID that were so happy for us to reopen.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, have a following that just loves sitting in the basement or at cafeterias.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, cool.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Like sitting upstairs so it's a little challenging to run it upstairs and downstairs but we managed

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: to get it worked.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_02]: So let me see you said it's upstairs and downstairs?

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Upstairs and downstairs, yep.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's wild.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: So is there a difference between the two or is it just an issue of space?

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_01]: No, it's just we have extra room so if they want to sit downstairs they can sit downstairs.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_01]: That's fine.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: So you know that's where we keep the cafeteria at so that's one quick access to food.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the best place to sit.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_01]: Now we do, I do the thing now where the volunteers have vests and their color of the vest is

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: color coordinated to their job responsibilities.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_02]: That's a great idea.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so if you see like a blue vest that's going to be a food service worker and then a red vest would be pool tap sales.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's pretty cool.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so anytime you see the blue vest you already know that you can order your food from them and we do table side service here so

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_01]: you can pay they have like these little palm pallets they walk around with they can take your order on the little palm pallets and

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_01]: that sends the order straight down to the kitchen.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like a little ticket like that.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_01]: They would at a restaurant and they can start working on the food and they ride up to your seat because all the tables are numbered and

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_01]: you can pay for your debit card or pay cash on that palm pallet.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty cool.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_02]: But then I have a question not with about the food but I have a question about the caller then if you've got two floors how do they people how

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_02]: are the people on the separate floor yell bingo is that like a or how do you hear them?

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so I have I have two callers and so why one person's calling on the bingo desk.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I have the other caller downstairs verifying and doing the bingo callbacks and then they just switch back and forth and take turns.

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So they have to do like they do in a lot of places I play at St. Joseph sometimes and you have to say next number so the person

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_02]: in the room who's not with the caller have to make sure that they say next number.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly because you have that back room that they have here.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so you haven't had any problems with that?

[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Not yet.

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_02]: So and then you're saying that you have different people with different colored clothing so people can tell what they're doing.

[00:05:43] [SPEAKER_02]: So your pool tab people now what was the color of their vest?

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Red.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh they're red.

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_02]: So now how is that because I know that pool tabs are incredibly popular where they are they more popular now than they were when you closed up?

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, definitely for sure.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I saw about 14 flashboards and about four strips every night.

[00:06:06] [SPEAKER_01]: That's about the average if it's a really really big crowd on my go to 16 flash but I don't think it's too much over.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I know a lot of other bingos you know they like to play a lot of flash.

[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_01]: Right rather play less but bigger tickets.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like the players really like the bigger tickets a lot of bingos like playing those small $500 games and it's just kind of hard to win your money back when you can only win $500.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Well that's what I was going to ask the question so you're playing the bigger tabs so can you give me an idea like are you playing California Gold your baby?

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh we're not quite there yet you know that's a big box but I have one in stock just in case.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_02]: It is the case.

[00:06:54] [SPEAKER_02]: So you're doing a lot of the 1199s?

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah 1199s, 1000 you know games like spare change banana splits double 1199s.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Jackpot 5.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Jackpot 5 is so popular.

[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I know I'll never get why that game is so popular but they eat it up.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you I'm the same thing I was going to say I don't know why that particular game is so popular but I know certainly when you go over to cry help that sucker sells out so fast.

[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah if you didn't buy it online or you're not like the first person in line when you get there you can just forget about buying that ticket.

[00:07:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely so in addition to the pool tabs what does it take to get you back up to momentum is there a certain amount of people that you really try to get in every week so you can make sure that you're making a profit on this or are you just taking your time to slowly build up the clientele again?

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so you know the first week or two that you open up you always have like a huge crowd you know because of excitement.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_01]: And you know all the hype about opening up the new game but it's really not until you do your first month or two that you're really going to get like an average of what your tenants is going to be around.

[00:08:14] [SPEAKER_01]: And then that's you know you can't use your numbers from your first couple weeks you got to you know let the desk settle and then you can use those averages.

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I always wonder because I used to go play at like I've said many many many many times Buckingham Heights Bingo which was right across from my house which was my favorite because it was so convenient.

[00:08:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But they always had problems making a profit so eventually with COVID and everything else they had to slow down.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_02]: You have an ambulance?

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_01]: I guess.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I hope it's nothing bad but anyway so do you have a thing do you have like a timeline because people are coming and I know people are talking about it but is there a timeline or a minimum?

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_02]: That you can go on until you get to a certain level or are you guys in it for like the long haul?

[00:09:01] [SPEAKER_01]: No we're in it for the long haul and you know I've spent a lot of time getting this Bingo ready and getting everything fine tuned and tweaked and getting new equipment and stuff like that that is definitely in it for the long haul.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Well then that's the other question too. Are you the one who initiated the reopening of it and are you the one responsible for going through all the legal ramifications or everything else?

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_02]: How did it get restarted is basically what I'm asking.

[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so luckily I have a lot of people helping me here at the parish. You know get everything started up and you know the principal of the school and the father of the parish, Father Marco and so I've had a lot of people helping out.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You know a lot of the parishioners here you know they have their own towns rather like electronics or like the sound system like that. So you know it was probably about three months worth of work and everything finalized and worked out and you know I'd even do like a practice game.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_01]: And that way I can train all my volunteers. We actually opened up because a lot of them have never done Bingo at all.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I didn't even think about that you have to do some kind of a practice.

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah I think it's always good if you're going to ever you know for any of the listeners that were going to do their own Bingo game is to do like a practice Bingo game just to get everything you know running in order.

[00:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: You can work out all your little keeps. So one of the things I did was I gave the people that were going to practice with us like the practice players which was just people that were parishioners but I gave them monopoly money so they could play you know they could practice buying pool tabs.

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_01]: That's great.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_01]: They bought you know they bought their buying with the monopoly money.

[00:11:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Their strips and their tickets flash with the monopoly money so I got to actually like put a little bit of stress on my volunteers.

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_02]: That's hilarious.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I love that.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Well now are there like a well now are there a lot of legal hoops that you have to go through other people that you have to report to.

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Thank you.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah so I'm working with Father Marco you know hand in hand on the Bingo.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_02]: So but there's not there's not like a Bingo Commission or anything legally from the city that you have to report to.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah there's the Burbank Bingo Commission.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay and I also wonder because so many of these places are run by Catholic churches you know have St. Joseph I think he was St. Dominic's or Basko Tech are all these places being handled by Catholic churches or schools or whatever.

[00:12:00] [SPEAKER_02]: My question is do you guys kind of get together is it like a group of you who meet and discuss things or you just kind of talk and pass in or not at all.

[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_01]: I would just say not at all.

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_01]: I've never talked to any of them but I don't think the Archdiocese because all these would fall under the Archdiocese of LA but I don't believe any of them are in communication like a person.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't think there's like a Catholic Bingo Council.

[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_02]: You know you guys don't meet on Sundays and talk about it.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_01]: No you know they reached out to me at the beginning of the year saying that they got their license back and they want they want their interest in reopening and that it was mostly just advisory.

[00:12:45] [SPEAKER_01]: You know my Bingo expertise in the beginning but then you know then we decided that I would be working at the Bingo here in Burbank so.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I know this is not a lot of people to actually pull from from knowledge that have the knowledge to open and run and manage a Bingo all this.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_01]: There's not a lot of qualified people I would say.

[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Well it's a definite talent and I also wonder because it also brings a lot of stress don't you have to deal with people like pull tabs you know are getting mad that they don't either get enough or they're not getting fast enough or just if somebody misses a number.

[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_02]: They go to that person before they sold to me exactly why are they selling to him she's standing up or the same thing when somebody yells being on that but she yelled being I was like yeah but the caller didn't hear yell Bingo you know do you.

[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I mean I think it takes a certain personality to be able to deal with these people.

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah it's a lot.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm I don't know if you know anybody younger than me but I think I'm one of the youngest person.

[00:13:55] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what I didn't even think about that as far as I know you're the youngest person that I know but obviously you have a lot of experience and a good background so and you're willing to take the challenge so I can't think of a lot of other people who are really willing to do that whether they're young or old because like you said it is a lot of stress.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: It is a lot and the one thing you have to know about when you're running a game is you'll never make everybody happy.

[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: It's impossible.

[00:14:22] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't even you know I try to make the most people happy as I can but you know half the room's hot half the rooms cold what do you do.

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes I hear people say they went all the time it's like well what are you going to do that's just the way luck falls I can't help it if some people tend to be luckier than other people so but I want to circle back to because you had mentioned the amount of pool time.

[00:14:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I know you have pool tabs that you play that you like to keep it a limit which I love I've always liked that about cry help as you can go there and not go broke but still have a really good time playing pretty profitable pool tabs and and strips but how did you initially decide how many pool tabs and also how many games do

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_02]: you play how many paper games do you play.

[00:15:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so for the paper games we do five early birds of 15 regular games but all of our payouts are 300 dollars every single day does it this is not a special you know some games do 300 or specials we just do 300 every day.

[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_01]: I thought it was just better that way right.

[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And then so we also do like a double action.

[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And now we used to do my cry help but I brought it back over here.

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Del Japs we do the double action $500 payout on that one and then for the tickets we usually sell two at a time now so instead of you know some places will just sell one ticket at a time.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_01]: It just takes too long to do one at a time so I decided to start.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah I like that idea of that progressive though.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_01]: I know a lot of games do that that cover all progressive right right.

[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I think there's one somewhere that right now is like I think it's up north it's at like $13,000 or something so yeah I know when I'm playing Vegas they have one it's usually at least $100,000 you know at the station casino.

[00:16:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh the stations have that but South Point has that double action that does the same thing I think at the last event somebody won like $130,000 or something like that.

[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Getting it in 35 numbers yeah.

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I can't even imagine I would lose my mind if I did something like that.

[00:16:27] [SPEAKER_02]: So again getting started do you have to did you have to do anything special?

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned that there was a lot of enthusiasm a lot of excitement when it first opened and I know people were certainly talking about it but did you have to do promotion like on Bingo Bugle or did you have to do a lot on Tiktok or Facebook.

[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_02]: How did you initially have to get the word out to people?

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so my wife she talked a couple of the Bingo Tiktokers and we had some of them come down here and play with us.

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_01]: And also I advertised a little bit I grew up I helped Mike was nice enough to let me do some advertising there for our game and then live love play Bingo and Pasadena did some advertising for me.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah those guys were great over there and so that was that like mostly just word of mouth I didn't do any of the Bingo Bools or things like that.

[00:17:25] [SPEAKER_01]: I probably should have but I thought most of the games are spread from mouth to mouth anyways.

[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_01]: Right.

[00:17:34] [SPEAKER_01]: You know I made a nice like hard cardboard flyers and passed them out and people would take some for their friends and I'm sure they dropped them off at other places also.

[00:17:46] [SPEAKER_01]: So that was pretty much how I got the word out but I mean there was just so much work we went into like we re-brewed pretty much we did the old haul we painted new stuff put new equipment in like that.

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a device that they sell from video King which usually makes all of all the cons all the Bingo Desk that you see like especially like the ones we have a cry all the ones at Bell Jeff they're all made by this company called video King and most I don't think any manufacturers make you know traditional Bingo Boards anymore.

[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_01]: You know the Bingo Board journey is to sing.

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah now they're kind of all electronic right.

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so they it's a device called a freedom play and it's like a little flash drive that you plug into the back of the TV and it turns the TV into like a digital flashboard.

[00:18:38] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_01]: You have an option to do like one TV two TVs and three TVs and they have way more graphics they look way nicer like light shows and stuff so they're really stay the art.

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_02]: Do they have the same option where you can verify the pool tabs on screen so you can see the actual numbers or the actual layout of something when it wins.

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_01]: That's going to be with like the Bingo the Bingo Desk that you're using and also depends on the verification number on the ticket or so verify number that's associated with like a Bingo card like on a sheet of paper.

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_01]: If you know it ever noticed like if you're looking on a sheet of paper you'll see a number you know like a between like a one to five number digit in the middle where the free spaces and then on on the bottom right corner of each card.

[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And that's the card number for that sheet of paper.

[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_01]: So and then so all six cards will have a different number on it but if you read the number on the top left that's going to pull up the whole sheet of paper.

[00:19:52] [SPEAKER_01]: So that's that's what you're seeing that's when you see people verify a Bingo or calling it back to the caller.

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the number that they're using to verify and the computer you can tell the computer.

[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_01]: What brand of paper you're using what series you're using and the computer knows all the cards already that are in that inventory.

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_01]: That's pretty cool.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.

[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah there's a lot you can do with that.

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_01]: So like like if you're going to do like a level one level two Bingo like we would do at CryoP you would use one brand of paper for the $250 payout.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_01]: So we use a completely different brand of paper for like $500 level twos.

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And that way the computer automatically knows they want a 250 or 500 just based on the type of paper they're using.

[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Well that's pretty cool.

[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Other question is I wanted to mention so people definitely know we all you know where we're located but what are your start times.

[00:20:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Okay so we open the doors at four o'clock the game starts at six or early bird start at six o'clock and then usually about seven we're going to start the regular games.

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_02]: OK now can people reserve their seats can they call you and reserve your seat or they just have to come early or eventually do you plan on going on Bingo me now.

[00:21:11] [SPEAKER_01]: Well once we start getting huge numbers I'll have no choice but to do we have our own website that you can reserve seats on so they'll be able to go online onto our website and reserve their seats through that.

[00:21:27] [SPEAKER_01]: They won't have to go through Bingo me now.

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_01]: We'll also have parking spaces that you can reserve also if you want to come here you don't want to park on the street you can go and reserve your parking space.

[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh no that's really nice.

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I really like that.

[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_02]: So I know it's an awful lot of work to do all this stuff and from what I hear you saying was just really out of control but how much work help did you get from your wife because I know she's a big Bingo player too.

[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so getting the perspective of a Bingo player you know one you know season being a player like hers good.

[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_01]: I have to run the pool tab room for me here at Del Jeff Bingo.

[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so you know it's you know people think maybe working with her spouses is not the ideal situation but it's actually not that bad.

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_01]: I can even do it to you.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah so you know it's good you know she you know there's things that she brings up that I wouldn't even thought of because I'm not you know even though I'm not a play Bingo and I'm playing once in a while some of these people you know they'll see me out here.

[00:22:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Playing Bingo but and I don't do it all the time so I don't know exactly what the people players want and she knows what they want.

[00:22:47] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like no they don't want to play that game.

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_01]: They want to play this game.

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah just just pull the game.

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I told her to pull.

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_01]: She's like no they don't want to play it so.

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_02]: So she's a good asset.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_01]: Her out yes absolutely.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_01]: It's she knows so much and she you know she'll get on there and she'll be at home and she'll be watching Bingo or people play Bingo on Tik Tok and talk to all that you know she just knows everybody.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_02]: So that worked out great well that's good.

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I know people in the business and she knows the you know the Bingo player so you know it's like a ying and a yang we work together making a good team.

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Peanut butter jelly.

[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Absolutely that's awesome.

[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_02]: So you know what I have one more question I'd like to ask you and you should remember this from before.

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Before we go what would you like people to know.

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I just want to say come down to Belgium Bingo give us a try out.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_01]: We're open every Tuesday from Game Starts at six.

[00:23:54] [SPEAKER_01]: We're usually done by 10 20.

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_01]: And if you want a good fun time come see us down here in Burbank.

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_02]: That's awesome.

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That is absolutely awesome.

[00:24:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I haven't made it there yet.

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_02]: It takes me a little while to get out to that area but I'm absolutely going to be coming soon to check you guys out because it sounds really good.

[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I like the fact that you can order the food and they have it delivered and everything.

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And the fact that you have a limited amount of pool tabs which will keep me from spending way too much money.

[00:24:18] [SPEAKER_02]: So anyway really excited that you guys have opened.

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I think it's great.

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_02]: I love Bingo.

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I love the fact that it's getting more and more popular and I think you do a great job at Cry Help and I can only imagine how good a job you do over at Bel Jeff.

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_02]: So hopefully I see you soon.

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate that so much.

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Thank you.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[00:24:35] [SPEAKER_02]: You take care.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Well that's it for this week's episode of the broke bingo addict.

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_02]: I hope you enjoyed it and I also hope that if you can you'll find time to make it out to Bel Jeff in Burbank, California and give Ruben a visit.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_02]: In the meantime, thanks so much for listening and I hope you'll come back to listen to the next episode.

[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Take care.
