If you've ever dreamed of shouting "bingo" and walking away with thousands of dollars, this is the episode for you. In it, we discuss some of the notable upcoming bingo events across the country. Covering major sessions, anniversary celebrations, and jackpot games that are paying as much as $50,000. Whether you're a casual player or a bingo enthusiast, check out where the big games are happening.

[00:00:08] Hello, and welcome to The Broke Bingo Addict. This is a podcast that ventures through the wild and crazy world of bingo. This is much more than your grandmother's bingo. My name's Shari, and welcome to this week's episode, which as always is for entertainment purposes only. Hi, everybody, and welcome to this week's episode of The Broke Bingo Addict. For this particular episode, we're going to concentrate on all the upcoming events that are happening in bingo,

[00:00:37] things that are kind of out of the norm, not only in California and Las Vegas, but other places too as well. To start off with, we're going to talk about Triple Crown Bingo. That's in Houston, Texas, if you're not already aware. And they're having the first event that's kind of popping up, and that's going to be on June 13th. So that's really soon. And if you haven't already looked into that, it's only about a week and a half away from now. They have something that's called their Summer Sizzler, okay? Now, I have to be honest.

[00:01:05] There's one place where I saw it, and it said $30,000. And there's another place that I saw it said $95,000. In all honesty, when you add up all the money, it seems more likely it's the $95,000 that's going on. So yet again, it is happening pretty soon. As it stands, it looks like the buy-in, the pre-sale buy-in, is $150 for three computers. You know, Texas loves those computers. Did I tell you the time that I went there for an event, and there was a table?

[00:01:31] This guy bought a table, and it was just covered with the computers. Then there's another guy. I heard that he's a big bingo owner himself, a bingo hall owner. And he has a stand, an entire stand. And he had like 26 computers all set up on these stands and everything. So computers are big in Texas. I don't, for the life of me, understand why you can't just buy one computer and put all of the stuff in there. But for whatever reason, I don't know, I have to ask somebody. You have to get all these individual computers.

[00:02:00] So the pre-sale buy-in is $150. You get three computers. But at the door, computers are $60 each. So come early and do get a pre-sale for that. So the doors are opening at noon, and the games are going to begin at 730. So kind of a big window there. But I know these places. I know that in between noon and 730, they're probably going to be playing a buttload of pull tabs because they do love them some pull tabs in Texas. And pull tabs are going to go on sale starting at 1 p.m.

[00:02:30] So as for the bingo, what you're going to get from what I see, you get seven games of $1,000, four games paying $2,500, three at $3,000, one at $4,000, one at $5,000, two at $7,500. And the Piesta Resistance, there are three games paying $15,000. So it looks like tickets are on sale. You might want to give a call down there to check on it.

[00:02:54] But the address is 10535 Jones Road, number 200 in Houston, Texas. In case you need the zip, it's 77065. Phone number is 833-444-7177. So if you want to get some more information on that. To be honest, I actually gave them a call to try to get some clarification. But they do a lot of different things in Texas. They have a lot of interesting kind of games. And the girl even mentioned something, a possibility of having a pull tab or something that's paying $25,000.

[00:03:24] So I really wasn't sure about that. And I didn't want to confuse her more. And I'm, again, not in Texas. And I know they do a lot of things differently than what we do here. But really, it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. So I recommend if you've got the time down in Texas and you're not doing anything next Saturday, that you might want to go check that out. They said they absolutely still had stuff available. So you could go ahead and do your pre-buy-in for that one. So that's the first one that's coming up. And that's kind of more of a tournament. But next Saturday, there's also an event that's happening here in Los Angeles.

[00:03:53] So it's not a big event or anything like that. It's just different. They have something over at Live Love Play Bingo out in Pasadena. They're going to have a midnight bingo game. Now, I know they do this in Texas. Again, Texas is different than L.A. And it's not something that happens very regular out here. I think that Live Love Play Bingo has done it a few times. And I know a lot of people are excited about it. And a lot of people are going to go. And I know it's going to be a lot of fun. I really know that.

[00:04:22] But I also know that I'm almost 70 years old. And my little butt's going to be in bed at midnight next weekend. But if you want to go, the address is 2242 East Foothill Boulevard in Pasadena, California. Okay? Doors are going to open at 930. And game's going to start at 11 p.m. So, again, this is back by popular demand, midnight bingo madness. I'm going to have to hear about it from people.

[00:04:49] The buy-in is $40 for three packs. They're going to have special paper games paying $500. They're going to have strips for $1,000. And they're going to have tabs all night. And, again, this is a good place for tabs. If you want to call and get some more information, the phone number is 626-466-2023. And it's also available on Bingo Me Now if you want to go and book your seat for that. So, it should be fun.

[00:05:13] Now, following those two events closely is going to be the Montebello Christian School Summer Shake-Up of 2026. Now, for those of you who know, this previously was the event that happened at Bosco Tech. But Paul is now over at Montebello. So, it's going to be happening there. So, this is going to be on the 19th and 20th. That's a Friday and a Saturday. Okay, so the first day's got a theme. Day one theme, a custom bingo t-shirt.

[00:05:42] So, bring your favorite bingo t-shirt. And, hmm, sounds like there might be a contest. It also looks like Tanya from Confessions of a Bingo Addict is going to have her boutique. Really nice. She has great shirts and all kind of fun bingo items there that are going to be nice to see. That's pretty cool because I've seen Tanya at a lot of different bingo events. And I don't think she's ever had a lot of her stuff there, you know, unless we were in Texas or something. It's going to be great. Tanya's got some really, like I said, really, really, really good shirts and all kind of sprays and a lot of different things.

[00:06:11] So, that's going to be interesting to see. Big Vin, who's also been doing a lot of t-shirts and stuff lately, he's going to have that. And then Rock My Bling is going to have some stuff. Now, Rock My Bling, as I recall, I think Rock My Bling is the one that's usually in Las Vegas when they have the South Point events. I think it's Rock My Bling. I don't want to swear to it. Let me double check that. But anyway, so that's what's happening on day one. That's the theme. And then day two is going to be a beach party barbecue.

[00:06:38] Come dressed in your summer's best beach barbecue attire. Okay, I'm ready for that. Tickets for Friday the 19th are already available on Bingo Me Now app. Okay, so again, that's Montebello Christian School. Tickets are two categories. You can get the entry pack for $50, which gives you two sets of six ons, paying out $500 per game. There's two sets of seven strips, 14 strips in total. And those strips are paying $1,500.

[00:07:07] There's also a drawing entry. Okay, Paul likes to have him a drawing entry. So, there's also the $90 buy-in. So, you're getting a little bit of a deal here because for $10 less, you're doubling up on what you got for the $50 buy-in. Okay, so like I said, you got two before. Now, you're going to get four. Each of those things, still going to get the drawing entry. And you're saving a little money on that. There's a variety of other strips that you can also buy, too. And, of course, all kind of pull tabs. So, like I said, Friday is already available.

[00:07:35] By the time you guys hear this, I'm sure that Saturday will also be available. I'm not quite sure what the pricing on that is, but I'm pretty sure it's the same thing. So, anyway, I'm going to have to double check on that. But you can certainly go to Bingo Me Now and check it out. So, jumping into July and to the other side of the country, we've got the Foxwoods 40th Anniversary Firecracker Bingo. That's going to be on July 4th.

[00:08:01] And if you're not aware, I know Foxwoods is the largest bingo hall in the United States, but it also might be the largest bingo hall in the world. Don't want to go that far. But it is really big, and it is my goal that one of these days I will actually make it back to Connecticut and check this place out. It's in Mashantucket, Connecticut, for those who want to know. This is high-stakes bingo, and they have this event happening on July 4th.

[00:08:26] As I mentioned, this marks their 40th anniversary, and they're going to have over a million dollars in cash prizes. There's $440,000 in cash jackpot prizes, $40,000 in door prizes. Buy-ins are available from now to July 3rd, you know, for more chances to win is what they're saying. Okay, you're going to get 12 regular cards. You have an option to pre-purchase all 33 games. That includes two warm-ups and all specials.

[00:08:52] All paper will be received upon check-in with no additional lines. That's kind of a nice thing. There's an additional you-pick-em, quick you-pick-em. Check-in is going to be from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. That's three hours early at any of the eight stations located in the bingo main entrance. So I've never been there, but it's a pretty big place, so that sounds like that's necessary. So advance paper for $500 or video for $1,000. Whew! That's a lot of money.

[00:09:21] But anyway, plus the advance purchase gives you the opportunity to win $4,000 in door prizes. They're going to have 10 door prizes for $4,000. So anyway, again, that's July 4th. The doors are going to open, like I said, at 6 a.m. Warm-ups are going to begin at noon, and then the game itself is going to begin at 1 p.m. All total for the pricing, if you get the paper package, the total purchase is going to be $534.45.

[00:09:49] Now, if you get the tablet, and by the way, for some reason they say you have to buy two. I don't understand what that is, but the pricing ends up being $1,048.05. There's something also called the bundle add-on, the mega bundle add-on, and that's $120.70. So that's what you're going to be paying for this particular event. Sounds like there's going to be a lot of money there, and I know that this is a really big place. So it should be kind of fun, and one of these days I will absolutely make it there.

[00:10:19] So this is at the Foxwoods Casino in Mansatucket, Connecticut. Now, coming back to the West Coast, also on July 4th, as well as July 5th, the Plaza in Las Vegas, which is in downtown Las Vegas, they're having an event too. Now, they typically have about three or four of these super bingo events throughout the year. I think the pay range or the overall payout tends to be about $160,000.

[00:10:46] But for this particular event, they're calling it their super bingo $250,000, okay? Celebrating America's 250th birthday with excitement, fun, and the chance to win big at our historic $250,000 super bingo event. So that's actually taking place on July 3rd and July 4th. The entry fee, I think that's really cute too. The entry fee for this is $250.

[00:11:16] For the entry fee, it's for both days. For an extra $200, you can get their hotel package, which is from the Thursday through the Monday. I really like the fact that all the hotels have seemed to jump on this trend, which is really cool because it also means that they're not applying resort fees on those days either. So that's really, really cool. So anyway, what you're going to get for the super bingo is you're going to get one six-on paper pack for both days. You're going to get two daubers. There's free drinks for both sessions. Yay!

[00:11:46] There's special donuts by Pink Box. Oh, that's cute. All-American box lunches. There's an ice cream float bar. That's different. Specialty drinks served at the bingo bar. And then there's going to be a photo booth. That's pretty cool. So that's what's happening on that particular event for July 4th and 5th at the Plaza in Las Vegas. Now, here's a phone number for you to call if you want to get additional information, which is 866-768-7032.

[00:12:15] So what you're going to have for the particular event on the day one, which again is Saturday, July 4th, you're going to get 20 regular games, each paying $19.99. Okay, there's going to be a coverall for $60,000, a second chance coverall for $15,000, and then a third chance for $10,000. Day two, Sunday, pretty much the same thing. Actually, exactly the same thing. But that's happening on July 4th and 5th. If you can't make it all the way back to the East Coast, at least you've got something

[00:12:43] fun to play on the West Coast on those days if you're not out barbecuing. Now, for the following weekend, we're going to go up north in San Francisco. We're going to go up to Stockton, okay? There's Winners Beagle and Stockton, and they're having an event that's called their 38th anniversary for the Grapeettes. And the Grapeettes are the female baseball team, I guess, that they sponsor or they support through their group and everything, which, by the way, I never knew. So I had to actually look that up. So I'm glad to hear that. So that's going to happen on Saturday, July 11th.

[00:13:12] Tickets are currently available on the Bingo Me Now app. I think actually you have to go in there and then it makes you go into the Bingle Me Now Plus app, but you can go in there and you can get your seats. They've got three basic buy-in levels. The first buy-in is $100. You get two of each game. That's all games paying $3,800. I love these themes going on. Then you can get $200. That's going to be four of the same thing. And then you can go $250, which is actually six. So clearly that's a much better deal.

[00:13:40] I would definitely go get the $250 buy-in package so you get all that. And of course, like everybody else, you're going to also have a lot of pool tabs going on and I'm sure a lot of other little strips and games going on as well. I love this place partly because there's alcohol there, but it also tickles me that there's a racing hall there. I mean, it's like a betting hall or something like that. People go and they watch horse races and everything, which I, being from Vegas, I think that's really, really cool.

[00:14:07] So that's going to happen on July 11th up at Winters Bingo in Stockton. The address is 1658 South Airport Way, Stockton, California. If you need to call, the phone number is 209-470-1284. So if you want to get some information on that particular event. Now, the week after that, we're going back to Nevada, okay? You're going to have the big event that everybody is well aware of, I'm sure, which is South

[00:14:34] Point's $2 million extravaganza that actually takes place over the course of four days. And they have a buy-in of $4.95 per sets of days, okay? So the first set of days are the 17th and 18th. And the second set of days are from the 21st and the 22nd. And as most people know, this place has some major freaking payouts with the majority of games paying $20,000.

[00:15:03] So many games paying $20,000. And then they have a $50,000 game. So on each one of those days, there are two $50,000 games, two $25,000 second chances, and I think two $10,000 third chances. So this place has some sizable payouts. But unfortunately for this event that's coming up in July, it is already sold out. So why am I bringing this up? Here's why I'm bringing it up.

[00:15:31] If you really want to go to this particular session, you should keep looking on their websites because people cancel and then those seats open back up. And that's how I got to go to the last one that I went to. I just arbitrarily just happened to pop on. And for a split second, there was a couple of tickets. I grabbed mine and was able to go. And in particular, I've learned that what they have is a cancellation date, okay? They have a date where you can no longer cancel out. So that date for this particular event is June 29th.

[00:16:00] So if you really want to go, you should look around or after that date because things are going to open up for sure. It may not be a lot, but there should be some. So it's absolutely worth the effort to look at that and see if you can get a seat if you really want to go. If not, they're going to have another event at the end of October and beginning of November. So the exact dates are October 30th and 31st and then November 3rd and 4th. And those tickets, I think, are going to go on sale. Yeah, they're going to go on sale at the end of June.

[00:16:29] So they're not on sale yet, which means you have the opportunity once they go on sale to go in there and grab some. But I will say the tickets do seem to go fast in the summer. But if you miss any of these events, trust me, there's always going to be another one. We do like to play for those big bucks, right? Any chance we can to try to make up some of the money we've been losing on these little events. So that's kind of the roundup for what I have available right now. I'll try to keep my ears open. If anybody hears anything and wants to let me know about it, I would appreciate it.

[00:16:59] But in the meantime, thank you so much for listening to this week's episode of The Broke Bingo Addict. I hope you enjoyed it. And I hope you'll come back to listen to the next one. Thanks so much. Bye. Bye. It's not a game. It's a run. It's a run.
